Engineered, then built without excess

Every innovation, material and process behind the LC56. Where proven solutions exist, we use them. Where they don't, we improve them.

Thoughtfully engineered solutions

  • 01
Carbon stern hatch cover bonded into the LC56 deck

    Integrated Hatch Stringer Channel

A LiteCraft structural innovation, the integrated hatch stringer channel increases the hull-to-deck stringer height without adding weight. By incorporating a raised structural channel, overall hull stiffness and strength are improved by an estimated 12%.

  • 02
Recessed carbon insert forming part of the Venturi livewell system

    Patent-Pending Venturi Livewell

LiteCraft's patent-pending 3D-printed Venturi circulation system continuously refreshes livewell water while the kayak is in motion. With no pumps, batteries or moving parts, it provides a silent, maintenance-free solution that keeps bait alive.

  • 03
Carbon hatch lid with full-length bonded carbon rod holders

    Full-Length Bonded Carbon Rod Holders

Unlike conventional rod holders that rely primarily on mechanical fasteners, LiteCraft carbon rod holders are structurally bonded along their full length into the hatch sidewall. This distributes loads more evenly, significantly increasing strength.

  • 04
Moulded deck cleat bonded into the hull with no visible fasteners

    Fewer Fasteners

Most fishing kayaks rely on dozens of screws, brackets, backing plates, nuts and bolts to mount accessories and components. Every fastener adds weight, increases assembly complexity and creates another potential leak. We designed them out wherever we could.

  • 05
Carbon hatch with bungee tie-down over the livewell bulkhead

    Carbon Livewell Bulkhead & Baffles

Carbon bulkheads and internal baffles stiffen the centre of the hull while controlling water movement in the livewell, keeping the kayak balanced and quiet through chop.

  • 06
DeBrito steering yoke mounted on the rear deck

    DeBrito Steering Yoke

The kayak incorporates the proven DeBrito surfski steering yoke. Manufactured from high-strength marine-grade nylon and designed specifically for use with Dyneema® steering lines, it delivers precise steering, outstanding durability and years of maintenance-free performance.

How it's built

Built on experience. Crafted with precision.

Every detail matters. Especially the ones you'll never see.

  1. Stage 01

    CAD

    Design & Engineering

Every surface begins as a CAD model, refined with specialists in fluid dynamics and structural engineering before a single mould exists.

  2. Stage 02

    CNC

    Precision Tooling

Digital CAD models are transformed into precision CNC-machined plugs and moulds, ensuring exceptional dimensional accuracy, perfect symmetry and repeatable build quality.

  3. Stage 03

    Infusion

    Vacuum Infusion & Oven Curing

Epoxy is vacuum infused through the laminate for a consistent resin-to-fibre ratio, then cured in a controlled 12-hour oven cycle for optimum strength.

  4. Stage 04

    Assembly

    Hand Assembly

Bonded carbon components, hatch systems, livewell and steering hardware are fitted by hand, with as few fasteners as the design allows.

  5. Stage 05

    QC

    Quality Control

Each kayak is weighed, inspected and water-tested before it leaves the workshop. Nothing ships until it earns its badge.

Less marketing. More engineering.
